Why I Started
Consulting & Coaching

There is too much riding on our financial decisions and I simply don't trust anyone to do it right.  For far too long I have witnessed people being overcharged, underserved, and seen them being taken advantage of.  There is a better way...

The financial system is broken - we're not taught about personal finance in school and even worse one would be hard pressed to obtain unbiased advice in our traditional financial institutions - there are simply too many competing agendas and inherent conflicts of interest.  (Asset gathering and product sales is the name of the game)

People need help and they don't know where to turn or who to trust.  I get it - who cares more about you and your family/life than you?  By being Independent, I cut out the "middleman", I'm able to provide a better service,  at a lower cost,  with NO Conflict of Interest.  Answering the difficult questions, helping my clients make informed decisions, and  strategically putting them in the strongest position possible.

Brandon Wren is an Independent Strategic Financial & Tax Planning Consultant.

 

Brandon's career in finance began with Fremont Investment & Loan in 2005. In 2011 he took a position with Crown Wealth Management as the Director of Operations overseeing day to day operations, analysis, and research while completing his CFP understudy. In 2012 he transitioned to Lighthouse Financial Services, a Fee Only Planning firm - as a Financial Planner and during his tenure he eventually was responsible for all Financial Planning, Tax Planning, and Investment Management within the firm. In 2018 he took a position as Vice President - Senior Financial Planner for Key Private Bank where he was responsible for providing all Financial & Tax Planning advice for the Private Banks 300+ High Networth Business Owners and Private Banking Clients in the Oregon & Alaska. Brandon also worked as an Adjunct Professor at the University California Irvine instructing on Tax Planning for the CFP program concurrently.

 

In addition to over 17 years of real world work experience in varying roles and responsibilities, Brandon earned his Bachelor's Degree in Business Management from Pepperdine University in 2008, Personal Financial Planning (PFP) credential from University California Irvine in 2012, and earned his Master’s Degree from the College for Financial Planning in Finance with an emphasis in Financial Statement Analysis in 2015. In 2013 Brandon became a Certified Financial Planner (CFP) and in 2016 he achieved status as an Enrolled Agent (EA-Tax Specialist) with the IRS.


 

Brandon's extensive real world experience, education, and in-depth skill set didn’t occur by happenstance. Brandon’s early banking experience made it glaringly clear that people needed help navigating their personal finances and most of them don’t know where to turn. Brandon purposefully focused his time and energy working on one simple goal - having the right combination of education and experience to provide the best objective Financial and Tax Advice available.    Brandon’s goal now is to help as many people and business owners make informed financial and tax decisions, answering their questions, and building customized strategic plans in order to put his clients in the strongest financial & tax position possible.  This process involves client education while concurrently creating customized strategic plans that are comprehensive yet simple to understand and execute. 

 

Outside of work, Brandon, his wife Rhea, and their two boys, Connor & Grayson, spend a lot of time exploring the Pacific Northwest, camping, boating, and coaching sports (Baseball & Wrestling). Brandon and family have placed roots in the Pacific Northwest area and continue to deepen connections within the community.

I'm a TRULY "Fee Only" advisor;  meaning - No Asset Under Management (AUM) - No Products - No complicated fee schedules -my clients pay an Annual Retainer which is based on time and complexity of their engagement - my rate is $250 per hour.  I engineer customized plans so that my clients are able to make informed/educated decisions to navigate their financial future.  This is your life - you have to discern what is best for you and your family.  I will provide ideas and strategies and I'll tell you what I would do if I were in your situation, but you have to make the decisions.
